Yesterday we had started our afternoon training session and a friend of mine dropped by. I was happy to show her what my smart dog had learned, but Frankie had other ideas. She was so excited by our visitor that she wouldn't do anything correct until she settled down. We quit the session after a few minutes.
After my friend left, we picked back up and worked on 'freeze'. Frankie is starting to respond to the hand cue of the 'gun' and will sit right up. Now we need to work on a longer behavior. She did very well, though.
In the evening, we trained with kibble, and it went excellent! We worked on 'go to bed'. She does this consistently for a few times, then stands there like, "what was I supposed to go again?" Then she remembers and flops back down on her bed.
In other news...more rain yesterday. I think I saw some bright thing up in the sky this morning. Not sure what it was, but I had to get my shades out. Did you know that sunglass sales are very high here in the PNW? Probably because we can't find them again after half a year of clouds and rain, and just buy new ones.
That's all for now...
