My dog is not a wet mouthed breed. She's Shar Pei and a couple other things, maybe Viszla, maybe Pit Bull, who knows? The point is, she doesn't drool very much.
However, since the weather has been nicer and I now live in an area where I can walk her without running into 15 dogs, I've been working with her a lot more outside. In the house she'll run around, we'll play all kinds of games, and no drool. But when we work outside she drools like made. It's white a frothy and ropy and makes her look rabid.
Does anyone know why this might happen? I'm worried that it is a stress related behavior and it means I'm pushing too hard.
Any advice would be welcome.
