Taming Shy or Feral Rabbits with Clicker Training

Editor's note: Bunnies Urgently Needing Shelter, or BUNS, is a nonprofit volunteer group that cares for abandoned rabbits (and guinea pigs) at the Santa Barbara County Stray Animal Shelter in Santa Barbara, California . The organization educates potential adopters and performs home visits before placing rabbits. All of BUNS' rabbits are spayed or neutered before being adopted. BUNS added clicker training to enrich the lives of both shelter and adopted rabbits, and found that clicker training can be used to increase adoptable behaviors in their rabbits. The group also offers rabbit clicker training classes. Visit the BUNS website for further information.
