Teaching a new dog owner, how to be a dog owner.

I have a 1 yr old chocolate lab mix Kenya, I've had her for about a 2 months and have been trying to train her, I just figured out that before I can train her I needed to learn the basics. By spending a lot of time on this website and ordering the clicker books I'm finally on the right path to having a better relationship and a better trained dog. So, as of today I'm starting over and feel confident about being a better dog owner. I'll keep you guys posted on our success.
