My new boxer /lab puppy is so cute. He is 8 weeks old and almost fully house trained. I am working on leash training him but he sometimes still chews in the leash.

Thanks for all of your comments. I will give you more info on my puppy, Louie, next week. I have only had him during spring break so he has not been alone in his crate for more than 2 hours. When I go to school he will be home all day by himself except when my dad comes home for lunch to check on him. Do you think he will hold out that long. He doesn't pee in his crate for two hours in the day, but he gets up in the night every 3 hours or so and we have to take him outside.

P.S. I am not using a clicker and I don't think I will. I probably will with my next dog!

Do keep us posted on how things go. Have you started using a clicker yet? At 8 weeks they are such learning sponges -- they learn so much -- that I hope you can spend a lot of time training him and just being with him!
