There are a lot of different kinds of books about parrots - training books, behavior books, breeding books, nutrition books, and do-all books. The Conure handbook tries for the do-all book category.
There is good information here about cages and veterinary care - but not so much good about training. There is one little section about Clicker Training, but in my opinion, it is wrong. There is some talk of dominance and height dominance which is also out-dated.
The good stuff though is long lists of which house plants are safe and which are not, many dangerous things to watch out for, and a lot of information about first aid.
This probably isn't the essential book on the topic, but it is good - just don't take it as the only book, get the behavior and training info from a positive training approach.
