Still a beginner

Well all I've done so far is a bit of clicker 'charging'.  ie when it's time for Charlie's food I give him one or two dry biscuits and click each time and then again when I give him his food in the bowl.  He seems to take absolutely no notice of the clicker noise.  While he's scoffing his food I put the kitten harness on him - it's the only way he'll stay still for it.  He's had it on 3 times now and each time seems to take less and less notice of it - the first time he just wiggled all over the floor trying to get it off.  I see from the clicker tips that I should be giving Charlie some really delicious food as treats rather than dry kibble - hmmmm.  Must buy some roast chicken on the way home today!
