Dorcas hates her banana-flavored Baytril. After she had her left tear duct flushed, the vet gave me two antibiotics for her -- one an eye drop, the other the bananai-flavord Baytril for oral administration. She hates the latter. Last night when I tried to administer it to her, she actually peed on me. This morning she just tried to wriggle away from me and run away from me. She needs to take this medicine twice a day for two weeks. I hope it doesn't ruin her attitude toward me and toward training. That would take a lot of joy out of life . . .
I am also a little worried because the doctor indicated that the infected tear duct could be symptomatic of dental disease. If these antibiotics don't work in keeping the inflammation under control, he may have to x-ray Dorcas' head. I hope it doesn't come to that. I hope this is all that we see or hear of this.
