I bought Kay Laurence's Clicker Foundation Training, Level 1 -- from this website actually -- a couple of years ago. I read it and did a few things with my mixed breed LarryDog, the fine fellow in my avatar with me. He's 11 now so he was 8 or 9 then, and already accustomed to clickers. So when life got insanely busy, you guessed it, LarryDog's training dropped way down the priority list.
Fast forward to now. We also have 16-month-old Lola, a Rottweiler we got about half her lifetime ago. I started her right in on clickers, but didn't pull this book out at the time. She's coming along but I want to use a book or something as a course, so I am re-reading this.
It's in a workbook format, which I like, and it's quite basic. I'm a great fan of starting from scratch more than once if things get confusing.
Here's the url for Clicker Foundation Training as an ebook , here at the clickertraining store.
I will post on how it goes... part of the purpose of this article is to make a public statement that I WILL do this! Makes it more likely.
