Abby is a 7 month old terrier mix,who despises any type of physical handling. I live by myself and grooming her has been a nightmare. I have used food so I can brush her, but I better be quick. Yesterday, she got a bloody nose from friends' cat and my friend could not restrain her so I could get the blood off. She has been held a lot by me and I can play with her toes, rub her belly, etc. But anything more than that turns her into a squirming crazy dog. I will not allow her to get out of my arms untl she settles. However, she is 34 pounds of pure strength against someone who has had two spinal fusions and has a great struggle holding on. Any suggestions on one person trying to click, treat, and handle would be appreciated.
