Duh!! Well, until I checked my account I couldn't remember how long I had been clicker training with my 9 month old lab pup. He absolutely loves it! I devoured Karen's "Don't Shoot The Dog" in record time.
After 1 or 2 days of him lying on the ground from trying to force fetch him, I knew there had to be a better way. I purchased Positive Gun Dogs off this site, & searched through all the other great information available here. I hadn't realized 2Q training was partially new territory with gun dogs until I started.
We've came a long ways in the 4 weeks, but we realized something tonite as we were out on this cool, wet, fall evening. I got to a point where I looked at him & said "now what?". Ah hah, that's when I realized that thing I really thought wasn't necessary for "dog" training would probably be useful - recordkeeping & a plan - Duh!!
