We put off starting a family by about four years while I worked hard with our beloved hound dog mix, Etta. She was terrified by a small child several years ago and I watched in horror as my formerly child happy dog became horrified by the sight of all kids under the age of ten.
I am happy to report that after all of our hard work, Etta is now the treasured pet of my almost five month old daughter, Gracie. Gracie is fascinated watching Etta and Etta seems to be equally interested (in a good way!) in Gracie. It is a true relief and a true testament to clicker training. I could never have built Etta's trust in children with any other method!
