Takota did great today when a non dog person came to visit. Initially I gave the dog a bone to distract when the person arrived and then we left and returned. I put the dog on the leash after he relieved himself outside and had treats in my pocket. He sat at my feet after a quick sniff of the guest. He then calmed down and I undid the leash.
At dinner time I put his mat and told him to lie down. He did so-this is behavior we have already reinforced via clicking. I was proud of him. He did a great job :) Now to be really consistent with keeping him off my bed. We do let him on the couch.
