Karen Pryor Academy is 500 Graduates Strong!
Karen Pryor Academy for Animal Training & Behavior (KPA) has achieved a milestone of 500 graduates of its world-renowned Dog Trainer Program. Representing 42 states in the US and 21 countries, these graduates represent a growing community of trainers who are helping to advance the field of force-free training around the globe. Michelle McClelland, Karen Pryor Academy (KPA) Certified Training Partner (CTP) and the owner of My Dog the Dolphin in Duncanville, Texas, is celebrating a third-place win in the 2012 Extreme Mutt Makeover challenge. The challenge is a terrific initiative that helps to promote pet adoption and the benefits of positive training. For the challenge, trainers were paired with shelter dogs and had six weeks to teach the dogs the skills they need to become more adoptable. Michelle was paired with Lilli, a two-year-old terrier mix pulled from a kill shelter. Read more.
