This week marks the kick-off of International Assistance Dog Week, a time to celebrate how assistance dogs transform the lives of their human partners. Dogs spend a lot of time outdoors in summer months, making paw care particularly important. However, many pet owners are reluctant to trim their pup’s nails. In her article One Step at a Time: Teaching Canine Nail Trims with a Team Approach, KPA faculty member Laura Monaco Torelli offers tips for helping clients and their dogs achieve stress-free paw care.
