Three Things Not to Miss at ClickerExpo Portland

We hear from attendees quite consistently that ClickerExpo is a uniquely welcoming event. When like-minded individuals get together to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from different perspectives in a safe and open environment, great things happen. That is why ClickerExpo has become more than a conference over the years; it has become a community.

Whether you’ve been to ClickerExpo before or are coming for the first time in 2017, here are (just) three of the many events we think you’ll want to be part of!

Day 1: Friday, January 27

After the first invigorating day of Sessions and Labs, kick back and relax at our Friday Night Networking Event. It’s a great way to meet new friends or catch up with old friends to launch the weekend.

Each year the networking evening carries a fun theme, and 2017 is no different. Pack your sequined bellbottoms; we’re taking it back to the disco-era and celebrating the 1970s. Enjoy music, games, a photo booth, a costume contest, and networking team trivia over hearty appetizers and a cash bar. Don’t forget to add this event when you register for ClickerExpo Portland!

Day 2: Saturday, January 28

After Sessions and Labs end for the day and before you head off to dinner, you’ll want to stop at the ClickerExpo store to meet your favorite faculty members. Get your book or your ClickerExpo program—or your arm—signed! Enjoy light appetizers and a cash bar while meeting new people and surveying all of the fun new toys, treats, and attire that will be available.

Day 3: Sunday, January 29

The last day of ClickerExpo is always bittersweet. There is no better way to send you off than providing the opportunity to see Ken Ramirez one last time! Ken will be closing ClickerExpo in Portland in 2017. He will be speaking about how positive reinforcement training has been deployed in unique ways to problem-solve and accomplish amazing things in all corners of the world. Hear and learn about the power of clicker training in environments and applications that will delight, surprise, and inspire before you head home.

Bonus: Thursday, January 26

If you are planning to arrive on Thursday, stop by the Welcome Reception presented by Karen Pryor Academy. Join us for light hors d'oeuvres, access to a cash bar, and networking as you check in at registration and settle in for an exciting weekend. Don't miss this great opportunity to meet and network with KPA graduates, faculty members, and students.
