Clickin' the Pug, vol. 5

Good news! We can stop work on the ark....for now, anyway. This afternoon was cloudy, but no rain, so Frankie and I set out to the park to get some good exercise and do some training. At the park we go to (right across the street from our neighborhood...very convenient) there is a pavillion with a roof on it. I decided to do some training in there. I brough Frankie's very favorite training treat...canned chicken. By the way, this does not make a good 'on the go' treat. I carried it in a plastic baggy in my jacket pocket and it was just too messy and it took too long to get a small piece out. We worked on 'sit', 'down', 'gimme five' and 'up high', 'wave', and 'freeze' (formerly 'sit pretty' and 'stick'em up'). I've finally started putting a cue on that one, so it'll be 'freeze' from now on. The 'sits' were all excellent, but we need to work on 'down' more especially in an outdoor setting. Oh, forgot to mention that Frankie politely declined breakfast, so she was very hungry.

At dinner time we trained with her kibble. This went very well what with the aformentioned declining of breakfast and relatively short afternoon session. We worked heavily on 'down' and latency. She's getting pretty quick! Also worked on 'sit', 'gimme five' and 'up high', 'wave', and a little bit on 'freeze'. She was very willing to work for her kibble, which makes me very happy. Maybe if I had to 'work' for my food I'd be thinner, too! LOL!

Honey, if you're reading this...don't get any ideas. It was a JOKE!

And if anyone else is reading this, feel free to post a comment and say hi! Or just tell me to stop rambling...hehe :)

That's all for now!
