I Rescued a Human Today

At the time that the poem was first published the author, Janine Allen, worked for Rescue Me Dog, an organization committed to promoting shelter adoption and providing education and training resources to adoptive pet owners. The poem shows that adopting a pet enriches two lives: the life of your new pet and your own!
