McKee does leg weaves

This is a short video of McKee, a 3 year old miniature horse, who is learning to do leg weaves. This is his 3rd session.

priceless

Just priceless. Love your videos.
We were at a large fair today with plenty miniature horses around. I couldn't stop thinking about the videos you have posted here... saw a few people having trouble getting the horses to stand still for taking off the gear (they had shown wagon driving - sorry I don't know the right term in English) - it seems somehow too easy to use rough methods with these small horses. I kept wanting to shout "stop yanking him and teach him to target something while you work...." Kept my mouth shut and moved off...a few years ago (my preclicker time) I wouldn't even have noticed...the clickerway makes one notice things in a completely different way.

and the chessies who did a short gundog display for the audience and had loads of people come over afterwards to pet and cuddle and generally make a lot ado about the dogs going"they seem so friendly and happy even though they are so big" - the day had its highlights too ;o)

rough treatment of minis

Boy Christina, you sure witnessed the sad part of the mini world. I've owned minis for only 2 years (I've had full sized horses for many, many years). Every "mini" event I've gone to has left me scratching my head. I WISH I could spread the word about respectful treatment of these little guys. Sigh. Maybe if I keep posting videos and doing demos the word will get out that clicker training is the way to go with these small horses (full sized ones too...)

Thanks for your input and compliments.
