A group of research-minded trainers and clicker-curious scientists have joined forces to promote and organize study and dissemination of valid information about clicker training, in animals and people. President Lynn Loar, Ph.D., of San Francisco, is a social worker whose special interest in child abuse and abusive families led her to using clicker training as a successful intervention technique. Barbara Boat, Ph.D., from Cincinnati, an authority on behavior problems in childhood trauma and abuse, supervises the Foundation's research programs. Foundation faculty members engaged in clicker research projects include Dona Duford and Dana Crevling. Karen Pryor is a member of the board and an interested observer. The Foundation's mission statement and accomplishments to date may be found at the pryorfoundation.org
