As the ClickerExpo conference in Norfolk, VA, approaches, we’re highlighting each of our Taste of ClickerExpo live broadcast partners, and sharing exciting news about them!
Located in Dripping Springs, Texas, just outside of Austin, Service Dogs, Inc. is a non-profit organization that trains service dogs and hearing dogs to assist people with disabilities. Every dog in the program is adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group, and the organization invests $20,000 and one year to train each hearing or service dog team (dog and person). Service Dogs, Inc. relies entirely on donations, grants, and their Mighty Texas Dog Walk proceeds to support the training program.
In a recent video featured on local news channel KXAN, Service Dogs, Inc. President Sheri Soltes, dog owner David DiTraglia, David’s service dog, Astro, and Trainer Sarah Bond demonstrate how to greet a service dog in public. Watch the video.
Service Dogs, Inc. will be hosting a 1-day Live Broadcast of ClickerExpo on March 29, 2014, in Austin, TX. Learn more about participating in the live broadcasts in Texas and other locations, or about attending the ClickerExpo Conference in person on March 28-30 in Norfolk, VA.
