Can you teach an animal to be creative? Can animals mimic the behavior that they see another animal perform? Day Two of ClickerExpo in Newport Beach explored both the capacity of animals and how clicker training unleashes exploration, innovation, and discovery in animals -- and ourselves! The more behaviors an animal learns, the more creative it becomes. This applies to you, too! So keep learning new things. Immerse yourself in the things that you are passionate about. That's what ClickerExpo 2011 is all about!
I can use your input
Hi everyone my name is Jay Andors,
I've been training animals for many years using only positive methods lure reward and marker training using a clicker. I'm so excited to be accepted into the Karen Pryor Academy training program thats scheduled to be right here in New York starting in June. Tia Guest suggested that I post this, perhaps somebody can give me some advice. I'm going to start a kids class in clicking I'm limiting the class 5 dogs and their kids. Ever since reading the story about the surfing ponies I wanted to create a class just for children and I would like some advice with regard to how I should structure a six lesson class.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
