Three Things Not to Miss at ClickerExpo Stamford

One of the things we hear consistently from attendees is what a uniquely welcoming event ClickerExpo is. When like-minded individuals get together to share ideas, ask questions, and learn perspective in a safe and open environment, great things happen. That is why over the years, ClickerExpo has become more than a conference; it’s become a community.

Whether you’ve been to ClickerExpo before or are coming for the first time in 2017, here are (just) three of the many events we think you’ll want to take part in!

Day 1: Friday, March 31

Start your ClickerExpo experience off by attending the conference-wide Opening Session on Friday morning. The topic at hand? The X-Perience Factor. We talk about trainer experience levels frequently, and use the terms novice, intermediate, and advanced. But what do those labels really mean? There is no universal agreement on the difference among each of these levels, and the level labels are used for very different purposes.

Ken Ramirez will explore this common question and provide his own perspective on the topic of experience. While this discussion may help you select the right course levels for ClickerExpo, the Session will go beyond Expo and talk about the role of experience in the larger training community. Learn more.

Day 2: Saturday, April 1

On Saturday, be sure to attend the Room with a View: A Training Conversation Conference Dinner and Panel Discussion. This seated event will feature select members of the ClickerExpo faculty as they argue, banter, and reveal their opinions about issues in the forefront of the training world today, as well as share the experiences that shaped their worldviews. Unscripted, one never knows where this conversation will go —because anything goes! Learn more.

Day 3: Sunday, April 2

Make the last day of ClickerExpo count by forming even more friendships at the Networking Roundtable Lunch. Attendees will self-seat based on popular training topics. Want to dive into more detail on behavioral science? Meet other contacts from shelter and rescue work? Discuss challenges with other new trainers? It’s up to you to choose at this informal networking lunch event. Learn more.

Bonus: Thursday, March 30

If you are planning to arrive on Thursday, make sure to stop by the complimentary Welcome Reception presented by Karen Pryor Academy. Join us for light hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and networking as you check in at registration and gear up for an exciting weekend.
